Chicago

Chicago is the windy city for sure. It's easy to find yourself blowing from one part of the city to the other. From watching the Chicago Cubs at historic Wrigley Field to shopping on the beautiful Magnificent Mile, to volleyball on the beach - Chicago is a town that has something for everyone.

Where To Play

Ghostbar
Described as the “super chic ultra-lounge.” Ghostbar is amazing. It’s the perfect after dinner place to mix and mingle with others who like to be in an upscale relaxed environment. It’s almost not fair to the competition that N9NE and Ghostbar are connected. Competitors can breathe a sigh of relief that Ghostbar is only open Friday and Saturday nights and N9NE can have a waiting list up to three months to eat. That leaves 5 days a week for you to spend your cash somewhere else. Or save it for Friday nights here. N9NE is hands down “the place” to be and be seen in Chicago… and the foods pretty good too. Enjoy the Champagne and Caviar Bar or relax in front of the flat screen and catch the latest Sportscenter. You will not be disappointed with anything about these two places. Just being here makes you feel like you’ve achieved celebrity status.

Le Passage
Perfect for flaunting or impressing your latest acquisition. Le Passage hosts an upscale crowd dressed in trendy attire. Only the exotic women out do the sexy décor. Bottle service is great here if you can get a table in the back room. Once the hip-hop comes on the girls start getting wild on an elevated platform just feet from your wide-open eyes. The best part about Le Passage is that if you go VIP here you truly get VIP. So take out a second mortgage and order up.

Moda
Style! Style! Style! You better come dressed to impress if you even want to get noticed in Moda. The music has a decidedly funky feel to it and combined with the nubile young women lounging in various states of undress you are guaranteed a great time.

Narcisse
It’s been a while since we’ve been here but we know we loved it the last time we were there. The lavish décor is a breath of fresh air. It’s great to see a place like this live up to its expectations by paying attention to detail. Narcisse features fine caviar and champagne in an intimate environment. Upstairs, relax on pillow-clad couches that overlook Clark Street. Downstairs relax behind a curtain in a private booth and enjoy the company of your guests or open the curtain and invite others to join you for an enchanted evening.

N9NE
Hands down, one of the best dining experiences in the whole country. It’s almost not fair to the competition that N9NE and Ghostbar are connected. The crowd that comes here will leave you in awe. Competitors can breathe a sigh of relief that Ghostbar is only open Friday and Saturday nights and N9NE can have a waiting list up to three months to eat. That leaves 5 days a week for you to spend your cash somewhere else. Or save it for Friday nights upstairs at Ghostbar. N9NE is hands down “the place” to be and be seen in Chicago… and the foods pretty good too. Everything on the menu will melt in your mouth and is cooked to perfection. This is what a steakhouse should be. The visual stimulation of the lighting is comparable to very few restaurants. Click on the website to see what we mean. Enjoy the Champagne and Caviar Bar or relax in front of the flat screen and catch the latest Sportscenter. You will not be disappointed with anything about these two places. Just being here makes you feel like you’ve achieved celebrity status.

Rockit Bar & Grill
Relatively new to the seen, Rocket Bar and Grill has been welcomed by the Chicago nightlife scene with open arms. The same group who owns Le Passage started rocket, but while there’s nothing that overly stands out about Rocket it is a very popular nightspot. It’s so hard to describe the feel of the place that you need to see it for yourself. When I went I sat on the front patio and ate a sandwich of some kind and drank a beer. The front patio is good for people watching. After dinner I made my way inside. The bar on the main floor is a great place to grab a drink and watch the crowd. You’ll notice a steady line of sexy scantily clad women filtering in around 11:30. Most of which will be walking upstairs and leave a very lasting impression. The upstairs is the place to play. They blare a lot of throw back rock music over the sound system and have concerts on the flat screens. Rocket is trendy and hip in a very non-trendy kind of way and different than most wanna-be hip bars in Chicago.

Signature Lounge
The Signature Lounge at the 96th is Reveal Magazine’s pick for the best place to visit while in Chicago. The view of the city is one of the best city views in the country after the sun goes down. However, Reveal is drawn to the sexy sophisticated people in the swank environment. Sitting on the 96th floor of the John Hancock Building there is no better place in the city to enjoy a cocktail with close friends or a hot date. Prices are fair with most beers running between $6.95-$7.50 and a wide variety of martinis around the $9.00 range. The Reveal drink of choice was the Louis Roederer, Cristal at a mere $250.00 a bottle. Knock out a bottle or two and go hit the town.

Sound Bar
I loved Sound Bar! I went on a Friday night and the place was packed with pretty people. I saw beautiful women everywhere I turned, sipping fine champagne and dancing to one of Chicago’s greatest sound systems. Upstairs check out the VIP room in the “Round Room.” If you’re dressed to impress and have the cash to spend it can be a great time. If you don’t then why are you out in the first place? The lower level of the place is awesome. There are several rooms enclosed in glass and attentive bartenders who are more than happy to ensure you’re having a great time. If you are visiting Chicago I highly recommend that you come here first. If you live in Chicago, you already know. Not for those lacking in confidence.

Y-Bar
When I walked into Y I could instantly see what the hype was about. There was not an ugly person in the place and everyone looked like they were having fun. Both the cocktails and the clientele are sexy and well put together. This is definitely a see and be seen bar. The club is long with table seating roped off running the length of the large room. I highly recommend bottle service. In fact, it’s the only way you’ll be able to sit down when you want to take a break from all the mingling and flirting that is sure to be going on. This is one hot club with the pretentiousness that every Chicago bar longs for.

Things To Do

Another must experience in Chicago is Navy Pier. This place has it all. There are boat rides and cruises, dining, fireworks and a 150-foot-high Ferris wheel. Then there is also the Miller Lite Stage in the Beer Garden which features top local bands May through October. Performances are free and open to the public. Yes, they have a “beer garden.” What more can we say? Navy Pier is fun for the whole family.

If you have never heard of or met anyone that has been to the Magnificent Mile then you need to go to Expedia or Travelocity right now and book a package. Seriously. Stop reading this right now and book the trip.

The Magnificent Mile is one of the most extravagant world-class shopping experiences you will experience. That’s what it is, an experience. There is shopping and dining and hotels and entertainment and art galleries and so on. There really is something for everyone. A few of our staffs favorite shops were Guess? ,605 N. Michigan Ave., Giorgio Armani ,800 N Michigan Ave., Louis Vuitton ,919 N. Michigan Ave., and Burberry ,633 N. Michigan Ave.

Doing all that shopping is sure to make you work up an appetite. If you have cash left in your pocket jump in a cab and head down to 41 E. Chester St. (on the corner of Rush Street.) At this address you’ll find the delicious McCormick & Schmick’s Seafood Restaurant. The menu is printed daily for quality and excellence. Favorites include the 1.5 lbs. Alaskan King Crab Legs, Chilled Seafood Combination Platter, and San Francisco Stew with shrimp, clams, mussels, sea scallops, and crab. Overall, on a scale of 1-10, McCormick & Schmicks is a 10 every time.
The Sears Tower standing at 1,450 feet tall, North America’s tallest building, offers breathtaking views high above Chicago. Get there early though. Lines to get to the top can take hours. Once you’ve reached the top expect to see a beautiful panoramic view that will make a lasting impression.
